The TERMITUR research project follows in the footsteps of the INTELITERM project. As in the preceding project, the objectives are to contribute to the development of systems which facilitate application and technological transfer in order to formulate, implement and evaluate new management policies and terminology acquisition. The achievement of these goals will lead to an increase in economic development, facilitate trade and improve the tourism sector in Andalusia as well as the rest of Spain in relation to European countries and the rest of the world in an increasingly globalised context. The TERMITUR project falls within the scope of e- Lexicography and e-Terminology from a multilingual perspective.

The main objective is the design and implementation of a next generation multilingual lexicographical tool which is modular, flexible and oriented towards the tourism sector. As a preliminary study base, a proposal for an intelligent specialised dictionary is made based on documents and digital resources from tourism 2.0. Then, this dictionary is combined with intelligent terminological management systems and (semi)automatic complication of corpus. Previous corpora on rural and nature tourism and health and beauty tourism compiled by our research group will be used, as well as other corpora compiled (semi)automatically. The system will be made up of several modules that allow dictionaries and glossaries to be loaded according to user needs such as the automatic compilation of a corpus, linking of a terminology extractor, etc. The result will be a hybrid system that allows the translator and the interpreter to acquire specialised knowledge on the tourism sector in German, English and Spanish, as well as in the resulting language pairs.
