Like translators and other language professionals, interpreters should also be able to profit from advances in technology to significantly improve their working conditions. However, technological developments are having little impact on their sector, even though there is already a high demand from interpreters. In this seminar we will introduce VIP, the first integrated system specifically designed to meet the needs and requirements of interpreters. The VIP system aims at improving the work environment of professional interpreters, thus contributing ro enhancing the quality of their productions. It also provides support for training and life-long learning.
