Cambios en el segmento anterior del ojo, que incluyen depósitos de pigmento en el endotelio corneal, defectos en el epitelio pigmentado del iris, detectables mediante transiluminación, y pigmentación densa de la malla trabecular. Cuando estos cambios aparecen en ausencia de glaucoma se habla de síndrome de dispersión pigmentaria para diferenciarlo del glaucoma pigmentario, propiamente dicho.
