Cuando el paciente completa el desarrollo puede ser necesaria la cirugía de piezas dentales incluidas seguido de tratamiento ortodóncico. Si al final del mismo, hay ausencias de piezas dentales puede estar indicado el tratamiento prostodóntico e implantológico.
