    Definición (1):

    La neuropatía cubital, también conocida como síndrome de compresión cubital en el conducto epitrocleoolecraneano, se produce por una compresión del nervio a su paso por el codo, provocando dolor, sensación de hormigueo en los dedos o falta de sensibilidad. Es la segunda nueropatía cubital más frecuente en el miembro superior tras el síndrome del túnel carpiano.

    Ulnar neuropathy is a condition involving impaired movement or sensation in the wrist and hand caused by damage to the ulnar nerve. Ulnar means pertaining to the hand, forearm and elbow and neuropathy means a disturbance to the peripheral nerve system.

    La neuropatía cubital es una complicación rara, que puede aparecer en los pacientes con artropatía neuropática del codo debido al atrapamiento nervioso que ocasiona la desestructuración articular. Existen muy pocos casos descritos en la literatura de neuropatía cubital secundaria a una artropatía neuropática del codo por siringomielia.

    Ulnar neuropathy coexistent with distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ) instability has previously been observed in our practice. The aim of this study was to define this phenomenon and investigate the hypothesis that the cause of this intermittent, positional ulnar neuropathy is related to kinking of the ulnar nerve about the DRUJ.
